Welcome back: meet Kasper!

Kasper Eekhout - product engineer FieldFactors

Hi Kasper, welcome back! This isn’t your first time around, is it?
No it is not my first time around working at Field Factors. A couple of years ago I worked here as an intern focussing on R&D and realisation of the first pilot project of Bluebloqs at the Sparta stadium in Rotterdam.

What did you do in the meantime?
After my internship I did a bridging program from mechanical engineering to industrial design engineering and the following master in integrated product design. During my master I focussed on the embodiment design of product and how I could use my background in mechanical engineering in the field of design.

What made you decide to join FF again?
After graduating I was looking for a job in which I could combine my interests for design, engineering and the environment. And lucky for me Field Factors was looking for someone to add to their growing team to help with R&D and the design and realisation of projects. This matched up and here I am.

What are you going to do now?
My focus will be on combining the realisation of the project with the design phase to see where there are opportunities for improving. Realising more Bluebloqs project means we can do our part in making cities around the world more water resilient.

What are you most excited about?
Working together in this varied team of people and seeing all these different perspectives on the Bluebloqs system. Next to that I also enjoy working with my hands in my spare time and love seeing work in real life and that is why I look forward to seeing my work at field factors being realised in all (future) projects.

Anything you would like to add?
The recipe for a signature FF lunch sandwich is as follows: bread - peanut butter - sambal - fried onions - cucumber slices - bread.
