This is Lola - our water quality intern.

Meet Lola - our newest team member. She is here for a 4-month internship, all the way from France. She will work in our R&D department and her focus is on water quality.

We asked her some questions for you to get to know her better. Read the interview here.

Who are you, Lola?

I'm Lola, a 21-year-old student, French chemical engineer. I am currently on a 4-month internship in the R&D department to validate my engineering degree in 2023. This is the first time I have come to the Netherlands and I am happy to learn more about life here.

How did you end up at FieldFactors?

As a passionate person for environmental sustainability, and since water quality and access are some of the biggest issues I'd like to help solve as an engineer, I wanted to find a company to do my internship that shares the same values. And it was thanks to TU Delft that I heard about FieldFactors.

What are you going to do at FieldFactors?

This internship will allow me to discover and realize many things both in the field of water quality and how to work in a company, especially in a start-up. I will be in charge of many missions such as helping develop the BlueBloqs treatment system, either to improve it or to characterise its effectiveness by carrying out different analyses.

What are you most excited about?

I think about a lot of things that make me excited. I'm in a new country, with some super interesting people in a company that shares my desires and values. I would say that what excites me most is all I'm going to learn. I know that in these four months, I'm going to learn a lot more from a personal and professional point of view than I did in one year of class.

Anything you would like to add?

Thank you to FieldFactors for trusting me and allowing me to do such a project that will greatly help the chemical engineer I am and will become.
