FieldFactors nominated for the Waterproof Award 2024

In 2019, with the support of the Partners for Water Programme, we started making first steps to bring our solutions to tackle flooding and water scarcity to Spain. Four years later, we are nominated for the Waterproof Award for the positive impact of our work.

In collaboration with ICATALIST S.L and KWR Water Research Institute, we started working together with the City of Valladolid, AGUAS DE VALLADOLID SA, and the Real Valladolid FC to solve flooding around the Zorrilla Stadium of Valladolid in Spain, by locally capturing rainwater for reuse for irrigation of the football pitches.

With the support of Partners for Water and our invaluable partners, we have not only explored the possibilities of implementing our technology in the City of Valladolid, but learned how to adapt our solution to comply with local regulations in Spain.

As of today, our first BlueBloqs system is replacing the use of drinking water with locally treated rainwater to fill the urban pond of the iconic Caleido Park in Madrid. And we are working with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid to upscale rainwater reuse in the City of Madrid.

For the positive impact of our work, helping Spain solve urban flooding and tackle water scarcity with our BlueBloqs Circular water systems, we have been nominated for the Waterproof Award by Partners for Water.

The winner will be announced on February 6th during the Waterproof Event in Utrecht.
